MALAT1 wt Allele
Human MALAT1 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 11q13.1 and is approximately 9 kb in length. This allele, which encodes metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 non-coding RNA, may be involved in tumorigenesis. Aberrant expression of the gene is associated with non-small cell lung cancer and the gene may be involved in a translocation t(6;11)(p21.1;q13) with the human TFEB gene that may be associated with renal cell carcinoma.
