Melanoma Theraccine
A synthetic allogeneic cancer vaccine. Melanoma theraccine typically consists of lysed melanoma cells obtained from several melanoma cell lines combined with an adjuvant (such as DETOX or RIBI). This agent may be combined with immunomodulatory cytokines such as interferon alpha. Melanoma theraccine may induce a rise in the level of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte precursors. (NCI Thesaurus)
