    MOv-gamma

A chimeric antigen receptor gene derived from the murine monoclonal antibody MOv18 that binds to folate-binding protein (FBP). Peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) are first harvested from a cancer patient and induced to express MOv-gamma. Autologous vaccination with these activated PBL stimulates the host immune system to mount a cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response against ovarian cancer cells which often overexpress FBP.
