    Namilumab

A human IgG1, monoclonal antibody targeting GM-CSF, with immunomodulating activity. Namilumab binds to and neutralizes GM-CSF, by preventing GM-CSF from binding to its cell surface receptor, GM-CSFR. This leads to an inhibition of GM-CSF-mediated signaling and ultimately prevents inflammation. GM-CSF, a pro-inflammatory cytokine, stimulates the production of granulocytes and monocytes; it plays a key role in the activation of the innate immune system and in various autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
