    Neoplastic C-Cell Hyperplasia

    Definition 1

    A neoplastic process arising from the C-cells of the thyroid gland. It is considered a precursor of hereditary medullary thyroid gland carcinoma, and it is associated with mutations of the RET gene. (NCI Thesaurus)
