Who Should Give Dependence
“Pañcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgatena bhikkhunā nissayo dātabbo. Katamehi pañcahi? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu asekhena sīlakkhandhena samannāgato hoti …pe… asekhena vimuttiñāṇadassanakkhandhena samannāgato hoti. Imehi …pe… nissayo dātabbo”ti.
“Bhikkhus, dependence should be given by a bhikkhu with five qualities. What five? It’s a bhikkhu who has the entire spectrum of an adept’s ethics, immersion, wisdom, freedom, and the knowledge and vision of freedom. Dependence should be given by a bhikkhu with these five qualities.”
