Who Should Give Dependence
“පඤ්චහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතේන භික්ඛුනා නිස්සයෝ දාතබ්බෝ. කතමේහි පඤ්චහි? ඉධ, භික්ඛවේ, භික්ඛු අසේඛේන සීලක්ඛන්ධේන සමන්නාගතෝ හෝති …පේ… අසේඛේන විමුත්තිඤාණදස්සනක්ඛන්ධේන සමන්නාගතෝ හෝති. ඉමේහි …පේ… නිස්සයෝ දාතබ්බෝ”ති.
“Bhikkhus, dependence should be given by a bhikkhu with five qualities. What five? It’s a bhikkhu who has the entire spectrum of an adept’s ethics, immersion, wisdom, freedom, and the knowledge and vision of freedom. Dependence should be given by a bhikkhu with these five qualities.”
