Any substance that inhibits orotidine 5'-phosphate decarboxylase (orotidylate decarboxylase), an enzyme that catalyzes the decarboxylation of orotidine monophosphate to form uridine monophosphate and is required for the de novo synthesis of uridine and pyrimidines.
