    Orthobunyavirus

    Definition 1

    A genus of enveloped, spherical viruses in the family Bunyaviridae. The genome is composed of three linear, segmented single-strands of negative sense RNA. Orthobunyaviruses are mostly transmitted by gnats and cause encephalitis in humans. (NCI Thesaurus)
