OSI-906
A substance being studied in the treatment of cancer. It blocks a protein called IGF-1R, which is found at high levels in some types of tumors. IGF-1R is needed for cell growth and blocking it may cause tumor cells to die. OSI-906 is a type of IGF-1R inhibitor. Also called IGF-1R inhibitor OSI-906. (NCI Dictionary)
