    Black Snakes (1st)

    “បញ្ចិមេ, ភិក្ខវេ, អាទីនវា កណ្ហសប្បេ។ កតមេ បញ្ច? អសុចិ, ទុគ្គន្ធោ, សភីរុ, សប្បដិភយោ, មិត្តទុព្ភី។ ឥមេ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ច អាទីនវា កណ្ហសប្បេ។

    “Bhikkhus, there are these five drawbacks of a black snake. What five? It’s filthy, stinking, cowardly, frightening, and treacherous. These are the five dangers of a black snake.

    ឯវមេវំ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ចិមេ អាទីនវា មាតុគាមេ។ កតមេ បញ្ច? អសុចិ, ទុគ្គន្ធោ, សភីរុ, សប្បដិភយោ, មិត្តទុព្ភី។ ឥមេ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ច អាទីនវា មាតុគាមេ”តិ។

    In the same way there are five drawbacks of a female. What five? She’s filthy, stinking, cowardly, frightening, and treacherous. These are the five drawbacks of a female.”
