“छन्नं, भिक्खवे, पातुभावो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं। कतमेसं छन्नं? तथागतस्स अरहतो सम्मासम्बुद्धस्स पातुभावो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं, तथागतप्पवेदितस्स धम्मविनयस्स देसेता पुग्गलो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं, अरियायतने पच्चाजाति दुल्लभा लोकस्मिं, इन्द्रियानं अवेकल्लता दुल्लभा लोकस्मिं, अजळता अनेळमूगता दुल्लभा लोकस्मिं, कुसले धम्मे छन्दो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं। इमेसं खो, भिक्खवे, छन्नं पातुभावो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिन्”ति।
“Channaṁ, bhikkhave, pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ. Katamesaṁ channaṁ? Tathāgatassa arahato sammāsambuddhassa pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ, tathāgatappaveditassa dhammavinayassa desetā puggalo dullabho lokasmiṁ, ariyāyatane paccājāti dullabhā1 lokasmiṁ, indriyānaṁ avekallatā dullabhā lokasmiṁ, ajaḷatā aneḷamūgatā dullabhā lokasmiṁ, kusale dhamme chando dullabho lokasmiṁ. Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, channaṁ pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmin”ti.
“Bhikkhus, the appearance of six things is rare in the world. What six? A Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha. A person who teaches the teaching and training proclaimed by a Realized One. Rebirth in a civilized region. Unimpaired sense faculties. Being bright and clever. Enthusiasm for skillful qualities. The appearance of these six things is rare in the world.”
