PBX1 wt Allele
Human PBX1 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 1q23 and is approximately 296 kb in length. This allele, which encodes pre-B-cell leukemia transcription factor 1 protein, is involved in transcriptional regulation. A chromosomal translocation t(1;19)(q23;p13.3) of this gene and the TCF3 gene is associated with pre-B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. A second translocation of this gene and the EWSR1 gene may be associated with myoepithelioma. (NCI Thesaurus)
