    PDGFRL wt Allele

Human PDGFRL wild-type allele is located within 8p22-p21.3 and is approximately 66 kb in length. This allele, which encodes platelet-derived growth factor receptor-like protein, plays a putative role in the inhibition of cell growth and proliferation. Loss of PDGFRL gene function is associated with several types of cancer including colorectal cancers, hepatocellular carcinomas and non-small cell lung carcinomas. (NCI Thesaurus)
