    Perivascular tumor

    Pronunciation

    A type of soft tissue tumor that begins in cells that wrap around blood vessels. Perivascular tumors may be benign (not cancer) or malignant (cancer). They can occur anywhere in the body. Perivascular tumors may occur in adults or children. Also called pericytic tumor. (NCI Dictionary)
