    Phassapañcamakarāsivaṇṇanā

    ‘‘ཏསྨིཾ སམཡེ ཕསྶོ ཧོཏཱི’’ཏིཨཱདིཀཱཡ པཱལི༹ཡཱ ཕསྶཱདཱིནཾ ཀཱམཱཝཙརཏཱདིདསྶནེ ན ཏཔྤརབྷཱཝོ, སབྷཱཝདསྶནེ ཨེཝ པན ཏཔྤརབྷཱཝོཏི དསྶེཏི ‘‘ན ཧི ཕསྶཱདཱིན’’ནྟིཨཱདིནཱ།

    ‘‘Tasmiṃ samaye phasso hotī’’tiādikāya pāḷiyā phassādīnaṃ kāmāvacaratādidassane na tapparabhāvo, sabhāvadassane eva pana tapparabhāvoti dasseti ‘‘na hi phassādīna’’ntiādinā.

    ཙིཏྟཀིརིཡཱབྷཱཝེནཱཏི ཙིཏྟབྱཱཔཱརབྷཱཝེན། ཕསྶསྶ སམྤཛྫནམུཔྤཛྫནམེཝ། སནྣིཔཏིཏཔྤཝཏྟིཡཱ པཙྩཡོ ཧོཏཱིཏི ཨེཏེན ཙིཏྟཱརམྨཎསནྣིཔཱཏཀཱརཎཾ ཕསྶོ ཙིཏྟཱརམྨཎསནྣིཔཱཏོཏི ཝུཏྟོཏི དསྶེཏི། ཕསྶོ ཧི ཙིཏྟསྶ ཨཱརམྨཎེ ཕུསནཱཀཱརེནེཝ པཝཏྟིཏོ ཏསྶ ཨཱརམྨཎེ སནྣིཔཏིཏཔྤཝཏྟིཡཱ པཙྩཡོཏི ཙ ཝུཙྩཏི། སཱ ཙསྶ ཕུསནཱཀཱརཔྤཝཏྟི སཱཁགྒེ ཋིཏཾ དིསྭཱ བྷཱུམིསཎྛིཏསྶ ཨཝཱིརཀཔུརིསསྶ ཛངྒྷཙལནཾ, ཨམྦིལཨམྦཔཀྐཱདིཾ ཁཱདནྟཾ དིསྭཱ མུཁེ ཁེལུ༹པྤཏྟི, དཡཱལུཀསྶ པརཾ ཧཉྙམཱནཾ དིསྭཱ སརཱིརཀམྤནནྟི ཨེཝམཱདཱིསུ པརིབྱཏྟཱ ཧོཏི། ཏབྦིསེསབྷཱུཏཱ རཱུཔདྷམྨཱཏི ཡཐཱ པཊིཧནནཝསེན ཨཉྙམཉྙཾ ཨཱསནྣཏརཾ ཨུཔྤཛྫམཱནེསུ རཱུཔདྷམྨཝིསེསེསུ སངྒྷཊྚནཔརིཡཱཡོ, ཨེཝཾ ཙིཏྟཱརམྨཎཱནཾ ཝིསཡཀརཎཝིསཡབྷཱཝཔྤཏྟི པཊིཧནནཱཀཱརེན ཧོཏི། སོ ཙ ཙིཏྟནིསྶིཏོ དྷམྨཝིསེསོ སངྒྷཊྚནཔརིཡཱཡེན ཝུཏྟོ, ཡདཱཧ ‘‘ཨེཝ’’ནྟིཨཱདི། ཀེཙི པན ‘‘སངྒྷཊྚནརསོ ཕསྶོ པཉྩདྭཱརིཀོཝ, ན ཨིཏརོ ཝཏྠཱརམྨཎསངྒྷཊྚནཱབྷཱཝཏོ’’ཏི ཝདནྟི, ཏཾ ན ཡུཛྫཏི ཨུཔཙཱརསིདྡྷཏྟཱ སངྒྷཊྚནསྶ། ཨིཏརཐཱ པཉྩདྭཱརིཀསྶཔི ཏཾ ན སམྦྷཝེཡྻཱཏི། ཨིནྡྲིཡམནསིཀཱརེསུ ཡཐཱཔཝཏྟམཱནེསུ ཏཾཏཾཨཱརམྨཎེ ཝིཉྙཱཎཾ ཨུཔྤཛྫཏི, ཏེསཾ ཏཐཱཔཝཏྟིཡེཝ ཝིཉྙཱཎསྶ ཝིསཡབྷཱཝཀརཎཾ

    Cittakiriyābhāvenāti cittabyāpārabhāvena. Phassassa sampajjanamuppajjanameva. Sannipatitappavattiyā paccayo hotīti etena cittārammaṇasannipātakāraṇaṃ phasso cittārammaṇasannipātoti vuttoti dasseti. Phasso hi cittassa ārammaṇe phusanākāreneva pavattito tassa ārammaṇe sannipatitappavattiyā paccayoti ca vuccati. Sā cassa phusanākārappavatti sākhagge ṭhitaṃ disvā bhūmisaṇṭhitassa avīrakapurisassa jaṅghacalanaṃ, ambilaambapakkādiṃ khādantaṃ disvā mukhe kheḷuppatti, dayālukassa paraṃ haññamānaṃ disvā sarīrakampananti evamādīsu paribyattā hoti. Tabbisesabhūtā rūpadhammāti yathā paṭihananavasena aññamaññaṃ āsannataraṃ uppajjamānesu rūpadhammavisesesu saṅghaṭṭanapariyāyo, evaṃ cittārammaṇānaṃ visayakaraṇavisayabhāvappatti paṭihananākārena hoti. So ca cittanissito dhammaviseso saṅghaṭṭanapariyāyena vutto, yadāha ‘‘eva’’ntiādi. Keci pana ‘‘saṅghaṭṭanaraso phasso pañcadvārikova, na itaro vatthārammaṇasaṅghaṭṭanābhāvato’’ti vadanti, taṃ na yujjati upacārasiddhattā saṅghaṭṭanassa. Itarathā pañcadvārikassapi taṃ na sambhaveyyāti. Indriyamanasikāresu yathāpavattamānesu taṃtaṃārammaṇe viññāṇaṃ uppajjati, tesaṃ tathāpavattiyeva viññāṇassa visayabhāvakaraṇaṃ.

    ‘‘ཡཾ ཁོ, བྷིཀྑཝེ, ཨིམེ པཉྩ ཀཱམགུཎེ པཊིཙྩ ཨུཔྤཛྫཏི སུཁཾ སོམནསྶཾ, ཨཡཾ ཝུཙྩཏི ཀཱམཱནཾ ཨསྶཱདོ’’ཏིཨཱདིཝཙནཏོ (ཨ॰ ནི॰ ༩.༣༤) སུཁཝེདནཱཝ ཨསྶཱདོཏི ཨཱཧ ‘‘ཨསྶཱདབྷཱཝཏོ’’ཏི། ཕུསནཱདིབྷཱཝེན ཨཱརམྨཎགྒཧཎཾ ཨེཀདེསཱནུབྷཝནནྟི ཨནུཔཙརིཏམེཝ ཕསྶཱདཱིནཾ ཨནུབྷཝནཀིཙྩམཱཧ།

    ‘‘Yaṃ kho, bhikkhave, ime pañca kāmaguṇe paṭicca uppajjati sukhaṃ somanassaṃ, ayaṃ vuccati kāmānaṃ assādo’’tiādivacanato (a. ni. 9.34) sukhavedanāva assādoti āha ‘‘assādabhāvato’’ti. Phusanādibhāvena ārammaṇaggahaṇaṃ ekadesānubhavananti anupacaritameva phassādīnaṃ anubhavanakiccamāha.

    ནིམིཏྟེནཱཏི ནཱིལཱདིནཱ དཱིགྷཱདིནཱ ཙ ནིམིཏྟེན། ཨེཏེནུཔཱཡེནཱཏི ཡཐཱ ཉཱཎཔྤདྷཱནེ ཙིཏྟུཔྤཱདེ སཉྙཱ ཉཱཎམནུཝཏྟཏི, ཨེཝཾ སམཱདྷིཔྤདྷཱནེ སམཱདྷིནྟི དསྶེཏི།

    Nimittenāti nīlādinā dīghādinā ca nimittena. Etenupāyenāti yathā ñāṇappadhāne cittuppāde saññā ñāṇamanuvattati, evaṃ samādhippadhāne samādhinti dasseti.

    པབནྡྷཏཱིཏི པཊྛཔེཏི སམྤཡུཏྟདྷམྨེ སཀསཀཀིཙྩེ པཊྛཔེཏི། ཏེནེཝ ཧི ཏདཏྠཾ ཝིཝརནྟོ ‘‘པཝཏྟེཏཱི’’ཏི ཨཱཧ།

    Pabandhatīti paṭṭhapeti sampayuttadhamme sakasakakicce paṭṭhapeti. Teneva hi tadatthaṃ vivaranto ‘‘pavattetī’’ti āha.

    ཝིཛྫམཱནཏཱཝཱཙཱི ཧོཏི-སདྡོ, ཝིཛྫམཱནཏཱ ཙ སངྑཏདྷམྨཱནཾ ཨུཔྤཛྫནེན ཝིནཱ ནཏྠཱིཏི ‘‘ཙིཏྟཾ ན ཏཐཱ ཨཏྠཏོ ནུཔྤཛྫཏཱི’’ཏི ཝུཏྟཾ། ཏེན ཡསྨཱ ཙིཏྟཾ ན ནུཔྤཛྫཏི ཨུཔྤཛྫཏི ཨེཝ, ཏསྨཱ ཙིཏྟཾ ཧོཏཱིཏི ཝུཏྟནྟི ཨཡམེཏྠ ཨཊྛཀཐཱཡ ཨཏྠོ། ཨེཝམཝཊྛིཏེ ཧོཏི-ཨུཔྤཛྫཏི-སདྡཱནཾ སམཱནཏྠཏྟེན ན ཀིཉྩི པཡོཛནཾ དིསྶཏི། ཨཐ ཝཱ བྷཝནཾ ནཱམ སཏྟཱ, སཏྟཱ ཙ ཨུཔྤཱདཱདིནཱ སམངྒིཏཱཏི ཕསྶཱདཱིནཾ ཁཎཏྟཡཔརིཡཱཔནྣཏཱ ‘‘ཕསྶོ ཧོཏཱི’’ཏིཨཱདཱིསུ ཧོཏི-སདྡེན ཝུཏྟཱ། ཏཏྠ ཡོ བྷཱཝོ ཨུཔྤཱདསམངྒཱི, ན སོ ན ཧོཏི ནཱམ, ཏསྨཱ ཨུཔྤཛྫཏི-སདྡེན ཝུཙྩམཱནསྶ ཨཏྠསྶ ཧོཏི-སདྡཝཙནཱིཡཏཱ ན ན སམྦྷཝཏི། ཨུཔྤནྣཾ ཧོཏཱིཏི ཨེཏྠ པན ཀིཉྩཱཔི ཨུཔྤནྣ-སདྡེནེཝ ཨུཔྤཱདཱདིསམངྒིཏཱ ཝུཙྩཏི, ཏབྦྷཱཝཱནཏིཝཏྟི པན ཧོཏི-སདྡེན ཝུཏྟཱ ཁཎཏྟཡཝཱིཏིཝཏྟེཔི ཨུཔྤནྣ-སདྡསྶ ཝཏྟནཏོ, ཏསྨཱ ན ཨེཏྠ ཨུཔྤཛྫཏི-སདྡེན སམཱནཏྠཏཱསབྦྷཱཝདསྶནཾ ཝིཡ ཨུཔྤཛྫཏིདསྶནམྤི ཝིརུཛ྄ཛྷཏི པཱཀཊཀརཎབྷཱཝཏོ། ཨིཏརཐཱ ‘‘ཙིཏྟཾ ཨུཔྤནྣཾ ཧོཏཱི’’ཏི ཨིམིནཱཝ ཙིཏྟསྶ ཝིཛྫམཱནབྷཱཝོ དསྶིཏོཏི ཀིཾ པུན ཝིཛྫམཱནབྷཱཝདསྶནེནཱཏི ན ན སཀྐཱ ཝཏྟུཾ, སམཡཝཝཏྠཱནཝསེན སཝིསེསཾ ཝུཏྟམྤི ཙིཏྟཾ ཕསྶཱདཱིཧི སཧུཔྤཏྟིཡཱ སུཊྛུཏརཾ ནིབྦིསེསནྟི དསྶེཏུཾ ཙིཏྟསྶ པུན ཝཙནཾ། ཨུདྡིཊྛདྷམྨཱནཾཡེཝ ཙེཏྠ ནིདྡེསཝཱརེ ཝིབྷཛནཾ, ན ཝིབྷངྒེ ཝིཡ པཱལི༹ཡཱ ཨཱརུལ༹ྷསབྦཔདཱནནྟི ‘‘ཨུདྡེསཝཱརེ སངྒཎྷནཏྠཾ ནིདྡེསཝཱརེ ཝིབྷཛནཏྠ’’ནྟི ཨཡམྤི ཨཏྠོ ནིཙྩལོ། ཏཐཱ ཧི ‘‘ཡསྨིཾ སམཡེ རཱུཔཱུཔཔཏྟིཡཱ མགྒཾ བྷཱཝེཏཱི’’ཏིཨཱདཱིསུ མགྒཱདཡོ ན ཝིབྷཏྟཱ། ཨཔིཙ ཨདྷིཔཏིབྷཱཝེན ཨིནྡྲིཡེསུ ཝིཡ ཕསྶཝེདནཱསཉྙཱཙེཏནཱཧི སཧ སབྦཙིཏྟུཔྤཱདསཱདྷཱརཎརཱསིཡཾ གཧེཏབྦཏྟཱ སམཡཝཝཏྠཱནེ ཝུཏྟམྤི ཙིཏྟཾ ཕསྶཔཉྩམཀེ ཝུཏྟནྟི དཊྛབྦཾ།

    Vijjamānatāvācī hoti-saddo, vijjamānatā ca saṅkhatadhammānaṃ uppajjanena vinā natthīti ‘‘cittaṃ na tathā atthato nuppajjatī’’ti vuttaṃ. Tena yasmā cittaṃ na nuppajjati uppajjati eva, tasmā cittaṃ hotīti vuttanti ayamettha aṭṭhakathāya attho. Evamavaṭṭhite hoti-uppajjati-saddānaṃ samānatthattena na kiñci payojanaṃ dissati. Atha vā bhavanaṃ nāma sattā, sattā ca uppādādinā samaṅgitāti phassādīnaṃ khaṇattayapariyāpannatā ‘‘phasso hotī’’tiādīsu hoti-saddena vuttā. Tattha yo bhāvo uppādasamaṅgī, na so na hoti nāma, tasmā uppajjati-saddena vuccamānassa atthassa hoti-saddavacanīyatā na na sambhavati. Uppannaṃ hotīti ettha pana kiñcāpi uppanna-saddeneva uppādādisamaṅgitā vuccati, tabbhāvānativatti pana hoti-saddena vuttā khaṇattayavītivattepi uppanna-saddassa vattanato, tasmā na ettha uppajjati-saddena samānatthatāsabbhāvadassanaṃ viya uppajjatidassanampi virujjhati pākaṭakaraṇabhāvato. Itarathā ‘‘cittaṃ uppannaṃ hotī’’ti imināva cittassa vijjamānabhāvo dassitoti kiṃ puna vijjamānabhāvadassanenāti na na sakkā vattuṃ, samayavavatthānavasena savisesaṃ vuttampi cittaṃ phassādīhi sahuppattiyā suṭṭhutaraṃ nibbisesanti dassetuṃ cittassa puna vacanaṃ. Uddiṭṭhadhammānaṃyeva cettha niddesavāre vibhajanaṃ, na vibhaṅge viya pāḷiyā āruḷhasabbapadānanti ‘‘uddesavāre saṅgaṇhanatthaṃ niddesavāre vibhajanattha’’nti ayampi attho niccalo. Tathā hi ‘‘yasmiṃ samaye rūpūpapattiyā maggaṃ bhāvetī’’tiādīsu maggādayo na vibhattā. Apica adhipatibhāvena indriyesu viya phassavedanāsaññācetanāhi saha sabbacittuppādasādhāraṇarāsiyaṃ gahetabbattā samayavavatthāne vuttampi cittaṃ phassapañcamake vuttanti daṭṭhabbaṃ.
