PHB wt Allele
Human PHB wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 17q21.33 and is approximately 11 kb in length. This allele, which encodes prohibitin protein, plays a role in the repression of cellular proliferation. Mutations in this gene have been linked to sporadic breast cancer. (NCI Thesaurus)
