Pimonidazole Hydrochloride
A substituted nitroimidazole salt. Hypoxic cells bioreductively activate and bind pimonidazole. This agent may be used as a hypoxia marker for detecting oxygen gradients in living tissues. Pimonidazole also exhibits radiosensitizing properties. (NCI Thesaurus)
