Positive Regulation of Nitric Oxide Release
Any process in which release of the gaseous signaling molecule nitric oxide is increased. Primarily in phagocytes, nitric oxide production is induced by both interferon gamma and tumor necrosis factor. This process is involved in vasodilation, vessel homeostasis, immune response, neurotransmission and modulation of the hair cycle. (NCI Thesaurus)
