Providencia alcalifaciens

A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram-negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile, indole and citrate positive, and urease negative. P. alcalifaciens is associated with gastroenteritis and causes diarrhea. (NCI Thesaurus)
