Pubbaṇhasutta
Morning
“ये, भिक्खवे, सत्ता पुब्बण्हसमयं कायेन सुचरितं चरन्ति, वाचाय सुचरितं चरन्ति, मनसा सुचरितं चरन्ति, सुपुब्बण्हो, भिक्खवे, तेसं सत्तानं।
“Ye, bhikkhave, sattā pubbaṇhasamayaṁ kāyena sucaritaṁ caranti, vācāya sucaritaṁ caranti, manasā sucaritaṁ caranti, supubbaṇho, bhikkhave, tesaṁ sattānaṁ.
“Bhikkhus, those sentient beings who do good things in the morning by way of body, speech, and mind have a good morning.
ये, भिक्खवे, सत्ता मज्झन्हिकसमयं कायेन सुचरितं चरन्ति, वाचाय सुचरितं चरन्ति, मनसा सुचरितं चरन्ति, सुमज्झन्हिको, भिक्खवे, तेसं सत्तानं।
Ye, bhikkhave, sattā majjhanhikasamayaṁ kāyena sucaritaṁ caranti, vācāya sucaritaṁ caranti, manasā sucaritaṁ caranti, sumajjhanhiko, bhikkhave, tesaṁ sattānaṁ.
Those sentient beings who do good things at midday by way of body, speech, and mind have a good midday.
ये, भिक्खवे, सत्ता सायन्हसमयं कायेन सुचरितं चरन्ति, वाचाय सुचरितं चरन्ति, मनसा सुचरितं चरन्ति, सुसायन्हो, भिक्खवे, तेसं सत्तानन्ति।
Ye, bhikkhave, sattā sāyanhasamayaṁ kāyena sucaritaṁ caranti, vācāya sucaritaṁ caranti, manasā sucaritaṁ caranti, susāyanho, bhikkhave, tesaṁ sattānanti.
Those sentient beings who do good things in the evening by way of body, speech, and mind have a good evening.
सुनक्खत्तं सुमङ्गलं, सुप्पभातं सुहुट्ठितं; सुखणो सुमुहुत्तो च, सुयिट्ठं ब्रह्मचारिसु।
Sunakkhattaṁ sumaṅgalaṁ, suppabhātaṁ suhuṭṭhitaṁ; Sukhaṇo sumuhutto ca, suyiṭṭhaṁ brahmacārisu.
A good star, a good fortune, a good dawn, a good rising, a good moment, a good hour: these come with good gifts to spiritual practitioners.
पदक्खिणं कायकम्मं, वाचाकम्मं पदक्खिणं; पदक्खिणं मनोकम्मं, पणीधि ते पदक्खिणे; पदक्खिणानि कत्वान, लभन्तत्थे पदक्खिणे।
Padakkhiṇaṁ kāyakammaṁ, vācākammaṁ padakkhiṇaṁ; Padakkhiṇaṁ manokammaṁ, paṇīdhi te padakkhiṇe; Padakkhiṇāni katvāna, labhantatthe1 padakkhiṇe.
Worthy deeds of body, verbal worthy deeds, worthy deeds of mind, worthy resolutions: when your deeds have been worthy, you get worthy benefits.
ते अत्थलद्धा सुखिता, विरुळ्हा बुद्धसासने; अरोगा सुखिता होथ, सह सब्बेहि ञातिभी”ति।
Te atthaladdhā sukhitā, viruḷhā buddhasāsane; Arogā sukhitā hotha, saha sabbehi ñātibhī”ti.
Those happy with these benefits flourish in the Buddha’s teaching. May you and all your relatives be healthy and happy!”

मङ्गलवग्गो पञ्चमो।
Maṅgalavaggo pañcamo.
तस्सुद्दानं
Tassuddānaṁ
अकुसलञ्च सावज्जं, विसमासुचिना सह; चतुरो खता वन्दना, पुब्बण्हेन च ते दसाति।
Akusalañca sāvajjaṁ, visamāsucinā saha; Caturo khatā vandanā, pubbaṇhena ca te dasāti.
ततियो पण्णासको समत्तो।
