    Pyrithione

    A fungistatic and antimicrobial derivative of aspergillic acid. Although the exact mechanism of action remains to be fully elucidated, pyrithione appears to interfere with membrane transport ultimately leading to a loss of metabolic control. (NCI Thesaurus)
