    Ralstonia mannitolilytica

    Definition 1

    A species of xaerobic, gram-negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is urease, catalase and oxidase positive, does not reduce nitrate and acidifies D-arabitol and mannitol. This species was formerly, incorrectly identified as R. pickettii and is associated with nosocomial infections. (NCI Thesaurus)
