    Recombinant Tumor Necrosis Factor-Beta

A recombinant agent, which is chemically identical to or similar to the endogenous cytokine tumor necrosis factor-beta (TNF-beta). Produced predominantly by T-lymphocytes and leukocytes, TNF-beta is cytolytic or cytostatic for many tumor cells, and can inhibit the growth of endothelial cells, resulting in an antiangiogenic effect.
