    Retinoid Receptor

    Member of the nuclear receptor superfamily. These proteins specifically bind retinoids which modulate several cell functions and especially inhibit the growth of tumor cells. Three subtypes (alpha, beta, gamma) of retinoic acid receptors (RARs) have been identified. (NCI Thesaurus)
