RNF11 wt Allele
Human RNF11 wild-type allele is located within 1pter-p22.1 and is approximately 37 kb in length. This allele, which encodes RING finger protein 11, is involved in the transfer of ubiquitin to proteins targeted for degradation. Overexpression of the RNF gene is associated with several types of cancer such as breast and prostate cancer. Certain allelic variants of this gene cause multiple endocrine neoplasias.
