    “द्वेमे, भिक्खवे, सन्थारा। कतमे द्वे? आमिससन्थारो च धम्मसन्थारो च। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे सन्थारा। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमेसं द्विन्नं सन्थारानं यदिदं धम्मसन्थारो”ति।

    “Dveme, bhikkhave, santhārā. Katame dve? Āmisasanthāro ca dhammasanthāro ca. Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve santhārā. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imesaṁ dvinnaṁ santhārānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammasanthāro”ti.

    “There are these two kinds of welcome. What two? Welcome in things of the flesh and welcome in the teaching. These are the two kinds of welcome. The better of these two kinds of welcome is the welcome in the teaching.”

    “द्वेमे, भिक्खवे, पटिसन्थारा। कतमे द्वे? आमिसपटिसन्थारो च धम्मपटिसन्थारो च। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे पटिसन्थारा। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमेसं द्विन्नं पटिसन्थारानं यदिदं धम्मपटिसन्थारो”ति।

    “Dveme, bhikkhave, paṭisanthārā. Katame dve? Āmisapaṭisanthāro ca dhammapaṭisanthāro ca. Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve paṭisanthārā. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imesaṁ dvinnaṁ paṭisanthārānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammapaṭisanthāro”ti.

    “There are these two kinds of hospitality. What two? Hospitality in things of the flesh and hospitality in the teaching. These are the two kinds of hospitality. The better of these two kinds of hospitality is hospitality in the teaching.”

    “द्वेमा, भिक्खवे, एसना। कतमा द्वे? आमिसेसना च धम्मेसना च। इमा खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे एसना। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमासं द्विन्नं एसनानं यदिदं धम्मेसना”ति।

    “Dvemā, bhikkhave, esanā. Katamā dve? Āmisesanā ca dhammesanā ca. Imā kho, bhikkhave, dve esanā. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imāsaṁ dvinnaṁ esanānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammesanā”ti.

    “There are these two quests. What two? The quest for things of the flesh and the quest for the teaching. These are the two quests. The better of these two quests is the quest for the teaching.”

    “द्वेमा, भिक्खवे, परियेसना। कतमा द्वे? आमिसपरियेसना च धम्मपरियेसना च। इमा खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे परियेसना। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमासं द्विन्नं परियेसनानं यदिदं धम्मपरियेसना”ति।

    “Dvemā, bhikkhave, pariyesanā. Katamā dve? Āmisapariyesanā ca dhammapariyesanā ca. Imā kho, bhikkhave, dve pariyesanā. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imāsaṁ dvinnaṁ pariyesanānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammapariyesanā”ti.

    “There are these two searches. What two? The search for things of the flesh and the search for the teaching. These are the two searches. The better of these two searches is the search for the teaching.”

    “द्वेमा, भिक्खवे, परियेट्ठियो। कतमा द्वे? आमिसपरियेट्ठि च धम्मपरियेट्ठि च। इमा खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे परियेट्ठियो। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमासं द्विन्नं परियेट्ठीनं यदिदं धम्मपरियेट्ठी”ति।

    “Dvemā, bhikkhave, pariyeṭṭhiyo. Katamā dve? Āmisapariyeṭṭhi ca dhammapariyeṭṭhi ca. Imā kho, bhikkhave, dve pariyeṭṭhiyo. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imāsaṁ dvinnaṁ pariyeṭṭhīnaṁ yadidaṁ dhammapariyeṭṭhī”ti.

    “There are these two kinds of seeking. What two? Seeking for things of the flesh and seeking for the teaching. These are the two kinds of seeking. The better of these two kinds of seeking is seeking for the teaching.”

    “द्वेमा, भिक्खवे, पूजा। कतमा द्वे? आमिसपूजा च धम्मपूजा च। इमा खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे पूजा। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमासं द्विन्नं पूजानं यदिदं धम्मपूजा”ति।

    “Dvemā, bhikkhave, pūjā. Katamā dve? Āmisapūjā ca dhammapūjā ca. Imā kho, bhikkhave, dve pūjā. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imāsaṁ dvinnaṁ pūjānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammapūjā”ti.

    “There are these two kinds of worship. What two? Worship of things of the flesh and worship of the teaching. These are the two kinds of worship. The better of these two kinds of worship is worship of the teaching.”

    “द्वेमानि, भिक्खवे, आतिथेय्यानि। कतमानि द्वे? आमिसातिथेय्यञ्च धम्मातिथेय्यञ्च। इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे आतिथेय्यानि। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमेसं द्विन्नं आतिथेय्यानं यदिदं धम्मातिथेय्यन्”ति।

    “Dvemāni, bhikkhave, ātitheyyāni. Katamāni dve? Āmisātitheyyañca dhammātitheyyañca. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, dve ātitheyyāni. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imesaṁ dvinnaṁ ātitheyyānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammātitheyyan”ti.

    “There are these two ways of serving guests. What two? Serving guests with things of the flesh and serving guests with the teaching. These are the two ways of serving guests. The better of these two ways of serving guests is to serve them with the teaching.”

    “द्वेमा, भिक्खवे, इद्धियो। कतमा द्वे? आमिसिद्धि च धम्मिद्धि च। इमा खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे इद्धियो। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमासं द्विन्नं इद्धीनं यदिदं धम्मिद्धी”ति।

    “Dvemā, bhikkhave, iddhiyo. Katamā dve? Āmisiddhi ca dhammiddhi ca. Imā kho, bhikkhave, dve iddhiyo. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imāsaṁ dvinnaṁ iddhīnaṁ yadidaṁ dhammiddhī”ti.

    “There are, bhikkhus, these two successes. What two? Success in things of the flesh and success in the teaching. These are the two successes. The better of these two successes is success in the teaching.”

    “द्वेमा, भिक्खवे, वुद्धियो। कतमा द्वे? आमिसवुद्धि च धम्मवुद्धि च। इमा खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे वुद्धियो। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमासं द्विन्नं वुद्धीनं यदिदं धम्मवुद्धी”ति।

    “Dvemā, bhikkhave, vuddhiyo. Katamā dve? Āmisavuddhi ca dhammavuddhi ca. Imā kho, bhikkhave, dve vuddhiyo. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imāsaṁ dvinnaṁ vuddhīnaṁ yadidaṁ dhammavuddhī”ti.

    “There are, bhikkhus, these two kinds of growth. What two? Growth in things of the flesh and growth in the teaching. These are the two kinds of growth. The better of these two kinds of growth is growth in the teaching.”

    “द्वेमानि, भिक्खवे, रतनानि। कतमानि द्वे? आमिसरतनञ्च धम्मरतनञ्च। इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे रतनानि। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमेसं द्विन्नं रतनानं यदिदं धम्मरतनन्”ति।

    “Dvemāni, bhikkhave, ratanāni. Katamāni dve? Āmisaratanañca dhammaratanañca. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, dve ratanāni. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imesaṁ dvinnaṁ ratanānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammaratanan”ti.

    “There are these two treasures. What two? The treasure of things of the flesh and the treasure of the teaching. These are the two treasures. The better of these two treasures is the treasure of the teaching.”

    “द्वेमे, भिक्खवे, सन्निचया। कतमे द्वे? आमिससन्निचयो च धम्मसन्निचयो च। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे सन्निचया। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमेसं द्विन्नं सन्निचयानं यदिदं धम्मसन्निचयो”ति।

    “Dveme, bhikkhave, sannicayā. Katame dve? Āmisasannicayo ca dhammasannicayo ca. Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve sannicayā. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imesaṁ dvinnaṁ sannicayānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammasannicayo”ti.

    “There are these two kinds of accumulation. What two? Accumulation of things of the flesh and accumulation of the teaching. These are the two kinds of accumulation. The better of these two kinds of accumulation is the accumulation of the teaching.”

    “द्वेमानि, भिक्खवे, वेपुल्लानि। कतमानि द्वे? आमिसवेपुल्लञ्च धम्मवेपुल्लञ्च। इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, द्वे वेपुल्लानि। एतदग्गं, भिक्खवे, इमेसं द्विन्नं वेपुल्लानं यदिदं धम्मवेपुल्लन्”ति।

    “Dvemāni, bhikkhave, vepullāni. Katamāni dve? Āmisavepullañca dhammavepullañca. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, dve vepullāni. Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, imesaṁ dvinnaṁ vepullānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammavepullan”ti.

    “There are, bhikkhus, these two kinds of increase. What two? Increase in things of the flesh and increase in the teaching. These are the two kinds of increase. The better of these two kinds of increase is increase in the teaching.”

    सन्थारवग्गो चतुत्थो।
