Screener and Opioid Assessment for Patients with Pain Revised Questionnaire
Definition 1
A standardized rating scale developed and copyrighted by Inflexxicon, Inc. which is used to aid clinicians in screening a patient's potential for long-term opioid use in the treatment of pain. This revised version consists of 24 questions which can be completed by the patient. Each question is rated on a scale of 0-4 with 0 being 'never' and 4 being 'very often'. A score equal to or greater than 18 indicates that the patient has a high risk of misusing opioids. (NCI Thesaurus)
