Severe myelosuppression

Definition 1
A severe form of myelosuppression. Myelosuppression is a condition in which bone marrow activity is decreased, resulting in fewer red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. It is a side effect of some cancer treatments. Also called myeloablation. (NCI Dictionary)

Severe reduction of bone marrow function secondary to drug treatment. It results in anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia. (NCI Thesaurus)
