    Sphenoid Sinus Polyp

    A polyp that arises from the sphenoid sinus mucosa. It is characterized by the presence of edematous tissue infiltrated by inflammatory cells, including eosinophils. Causes include allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis. (NCI Thesaurus)
