    Squamous Hyperplasia of the Mouse Skin with Atypia

    An increase in the number of keratinocytes composing the epidermis with significant cytologic atypia of keratinocytes. Criteria for atypia include increase in cell size (>1.5 fold nuclear enlargement relation to basal keratinocytes), hyperchromasia, and crowding of basal keratinocytes. (NCI Thesaurus/MMHCC)
