Squamous Metaplasia of the Mouse Intestinal Tract
Differentiation of the intestinal mucosa into cells that have the following characteristics: cuboidal to polygonal or flattened shape, non-secretory, and abundant pink cytoplasm. Cells are positive for cytokeratins associated with squamous differentiation. (NCI Thesaurus/MMHCC)
