Stage I distal extrahepatic bile duct cancer
Pronunciation
Stage I is divided into stages IA and IB. In stage IA, cancer is found in the distal extrahepatic bile duct (where the bile duct empties into the small intestine) only. In stage IB, cancer has spread all the way through the wall of the distal bile duct. (NCI Dictionary)
