Supratentorial Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumor
A primitive and aggressive malignant neoplasm, usually arising from the cerebral hemispheres. It is characterized by the presence of poorly differentiated or undifferentiated neuroepithelial cells. This category includes tumors with exclusively neuronal differentiation which are termed cerebral neuroblastomas and tumors which contain ganglion cells and are termed ganglioneuroblastomas.
