TARP wt Allele
Human TARP wild-type allele is located within 7p15-p14 and is approximately 14 kb in length. This allele, which encodes T-cell receptor gamma chain alternative reading frame protein isoforms 1 and 2, may play a role in the modulation of prostate function. Aberrant expression of the gene is associated with prostate and breast cancer. (NCI Thesaurus)
