    Worthy of a Monument

    “චත්තාරෝමේ, භික්ඛවේ, ථූපාරහා. කතමේ චත්තාරෝ? තථාගතෝ අරහං සම්මාසම්බුද්ධෝ ථූපාරහෝ, පච්චේකබුද්ධෝ ථූපාරහෝ, තථාගතසාවකෝ ථූපාරහෝ, රාජා චක්කවත්තී ථූපාරහෝ—ඉමේ ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, චත්තාරෝ ථූපාරහා”ති.

    “Bhikkhus, these four are worthy of a monument. What four? A Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha; an independent Buddha; a disciple of a Realized One; and a wheel-turning monarch. These four are worthy of a monument.”
