Tissue Recombination
A technique used in developmental biology to investigate the effects of one tissue upon another in induction of differentiation and tissue and organ formation. Basically, a piece of tissue is transplanted from its normal location to a new location. This helps to distinguish between intrinsic and extrinsic influences in organ formation. (NCI Thesaurus)
