    Trapezius Muscle

    One of a pair of flat, large, triangular muscles that extend from the external occipital protuberance and the medial third of the superior nuchal line of the occipital bone to the middle of the back. The trapezius muscle is involved in moving the shoulder and arm. (NCI Thesaurus)
