    TSSC4 wt Allele

Human TSSC4 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 11p15.5 and is approximately 3 kb in length. This allele, which encodes protein TSSC4, is putatively involved in the inhibition of cell growth. The TSSC4 gene is located in a chromosomal region that is important with respect to tumor suppression. Alterations in this region are associated with many types of cancer such as breast, lung and ovarian cancers. (NCI Thesaurus)
