    Valacyclovir Hydrochloride

    The hydrochloride salt of valacyclovir. Valacyclovir is an acyclovir prodrug that, after metabolization, inhibits viral DNA replication. It is used in the management of herpes simplex and varicella zoster infections, as well as prophylactically for human cytomegalovirus infections. (NCI Thesaurus)
