Very Good Partial Response of Multiple Myeloma or Plasma Cell Leukemia

Very good partial response of multiple myeloma or plasma cell leukemia is characterized by serum and urine M-protein detectable by immunofixation but not on electrophoresis, or at least 90% reduction in serum M-protein and urine M-protein level < 100 mg/24 hours. Very good partial response requires two consecutive assessments made at any time before the institution of any new therapy, and no known evidence of progressive or new bone lesions if radiographic studies were performed; radiographic studies are not required to satisfy very good partial response requirements.
