WISP3 wt Allele
Human WISP3 wild type allele is located in the vicinity of 6q21 and is approximately 17 kb in length. This allele, which encodes WNT1-inducible-signaling pathway protein 3, may be involved in both skeletal growth and cartilage homeostasis. The wild type allele is expressed aberrantly at elevated levels in colon tumors. Mutations in this gene are associated with progressive pseudorheumatoid dysplasia. (NCI Thesaurus)
