    “‘अयं काये कायानुपस्सनाऽति मे, भिक्खवे, पुब्बे अननुस्सुतेसु धम्मेसु चक्खुं उदपादि, ञाणं उदपादि, पञ्ञा उदपादि, विज्जा उदपादि, आलोको उदपादि। ‘सा खो पनायं काये कायानुपस्सना भावेतब्बाऽति मे, भिक्खवे …पे… भाविताऽति मे, भिक्खवे, पुब्बे अननुस्सुतेसु धम्मेसु चक्खुं उदपादि, ञाणं उदपादि, पञ्ञा उदपादि, विज्जा उदपादि, आलोको उदपादि।

    “‘Ayaṁ kāye kāyānupassanā’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhuṁ udapādi, ñāṇaṁ udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi. ‘Sā kho panāyaṁ kāye kāyānupassanā bhāvetabbā’ti me, bhikkhave …pe… bhāvitā’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhuṁ udapādi, ñāṇaṁ udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi.

    “‘This is the observation of an aspect of the body.’ Such, bhikkhus, was the vision, knowledge, wisdom, realization, and light that arose in me regarding teachings not learned before from another. ‘This observation of an aspect of the body should be developed.’ … ‘This observation of an aspect of the body has been developed.’ Such was the vision, knowledge, wisdom, realization, and light that arose in me regarding teachings not learned before from another.

    ‘अयं वेदनासु वेदनानुपस्सनाऽति मे, भिक्खवे, पुब्बे अननुस्सुतेसु धम्मेसु चक्खुं उदपादि, ञाणं उदपादि, पञ्ञा उदपादि, विज्जा उदपादि, आलोको उदपादि। ‘सा खो पनायं वेदनासु वेदनानुपस्सना भावेतब्बाऽति मे, भिक्खवे …पे… भाविताऽति मे, भिक्खवे, पुब्बे अननुस्सुतेसु धम्मेसु चक्खुं उदपादि, ञाणं उदपादि, पञ्ञा उदपादि, विज्जा उदपादि, आलोको उदपादि।

    ‘Ayaṁ citte cittānupassanā’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhuṁ udapādi, ñāṇaṁ udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi. ‘Sā kho panāyaṁ citte cittānupassanā bhāvetabbā’ti me, bhikkhave …pe… bhāvitā’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhuṁ udapādi, ñāṇaṁ udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi.

    ‘This is the observation of an aspect of the mind.’ … ‘This observation of an aspect of the mind should be developed.’ … ‘This observation of an aspect of the mind has been developed.’ …
