अपारसुत्त
Apārasutta
From the Near Shore
“चत्तारोमे, भिक्खवे, इद्धिपादा भाविता बहुलीकता अपारा पारं गमनाय संवत्तन्ति। कतमे चत्तारो? इध, भिक्खवे, भिक्खु छन्दसमाधिप्पधानसङ्खारसमन्नागतं इद्धिपादं भावेति, वीरियसमाधिप्पधानसङ्खारसमन्नागतं इद्धिपादं भावेति, चित्तसमाधिप्पधानसङ्खारसमन्नागतं इद्धिपादं भावेति, वीमंसासमाधिप्पधानसङ्खारसमन्नागतं इद्धिपादं भावेति। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, चत्तारो इद्धिपादा भाविता बहुलीकता अपारा पारं गमनाय संवत्तन्ती”ति।
“Cattārome, bhikkhave, iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā apārā pāraṁ gamanāya saṁvattanti. Katame cattāro? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṁ iddhipādaṁ bhāveti, vīriyasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṁ iddhipādaṁ bhāveti, cittasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṁ iddhipādaṁ bhāveti, vīmaṁsāsamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṁ iddhipādaṁ bhāveti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā apārā pāraṁ gamanāya saṁvattantī”ti.
“Bhikkhus, when these four bases of psychic power are developed and cultivated they lead to going from the near shore to the far shore. What four? It’s when a bhikkhu develops the basis of psychic power that has immersion due to enthusiasm, and active effort. They develop the basis of psychic power that has immersion due to energy, and active effort. They develop the basis of psychic power that has immersion due to mental development, and active effort. They develop the basis of psychic power that has immersion due to inquiry, and active effort. When these four bases of psychic power are developed and cultivated they lead to going from the near shore to the far shore.”
