    Āsavakkhayasutta

    The Ending of Defilements

    “इमेसञ्च पनाहं, आवुसो, चतुन्नं सतिपट्ठानानं भावितत्ता बहुलीकतत्ता आसवानं खया अनासवं चेतोविमुत्तिं पञ्ञाविमुत्तिं दिट्ठेव धम्मे सयं अभिञ्ञा सच्छिकत्वा उपसम्पज्ज विहरामी”ति।

    “Imesañca panāhaṁ, āvuso, catunnaṁ satipaṭṭhānānaṁ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā āsavānaṁ khayā anāsavaṁ cetovimuttiṁ paññāvimuttiṁ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṁ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharāmī”ti.

    “… And it’s because of developing and cultivating these four kinds of mindfulness meditation that I realized the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom in this very life. And I live having realized it with my own insight due to the ending of defilements.”

    चुद्दसमं।

    Cuddasamaṁ.

    दुतियो वग्गो।

    Dutiyo vaggo.

    तस्सुद्दानं

    Tassuddānaṁ

    महाभिञ्ञं इद्धि दिब्बं, चेतोपरियं ठानं कम्मं; सब्बत्थधातुधिमुत्ति, इन्द्रियं झानं तिस्सो विज्जाति।

    Mahābhiññaṁ iddhi dibbaṁ, Cetopariyaṁ ṭhānaṁ kammaṁ; Sabbatthadhātudhimutti, Indriyaṁ jhānaṁ tisso vijjāti.

    अनुरुद्धसंयुत्तं अट्ठमं।

    Anuruddhasaṁyuttaṁ aṭṭhamaṁ.
