Bonds
“किंसु सम्बन्धनो लोको, किंसु तस्स विचारणं; किस्सस्सु विप्पहानेन, सब्बं छिन्दति बन्धनन्”ति।
“Kiṁsu sambandhano loko, kiṁsu tassa vicāraṇaṁ; Kissassu vippahānena, sabbaṁ chindati bandhanan”ti.
“What binds the world? How does it travel about? With the giving up of what are all bonds severed?”
“नन्दीसम्बन्धनो लोको, वितक्कस्स विचारणं; तण्हाय विप्पहानेन, सब्बं छिन्दति बन्धनन्”ति।
“Nandīsambandhano loko, vitakkassa vicāraṇaṁ; Taṇhāya vippahānena, sabbaṁ chindati bandhanan”ti.
“Delight binds the world. It travels about by means of thought. With the giving up of craving all bonds are severed.”
