Suffering
सावत्थिनिदानं।
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
At Sāvatthī.
“रूपं, भिक्खवे, दुक्खं, वेदना दुक्खा, सञ्ञा दुक्खा, सङ्खारा दुक्खा, विञ्ञाणं दुक्खं।
“Rūpaṁ, bhikkhave, dukkhaṁ, vedanā dukkhā, saññā dukkhā, saṅkhārā dukkhā, viññāṇaṁ dukkhaṁ.
“Bhikkhus, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are suffering.
एवं पस्सं …पे… नापरं इत्थत्तायाति पजानाती”ति।
Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī”ti.
Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is no return to any state of existence.’”
