सावत्थिनिदानं।
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
At Sāvatthī.
“असप्पुरिसञ्च वो, भिक्खवे, देसेस्सामि, असप्पुरिसेन असप्पुरिसतरञ्च। सप्पुरिसञ्च वो, भिक्खवे, देसेस्सामि सप्पुरिसेन सप्पुरिसतरञ्च। तं सुणाथ।
“Asappurisañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi, asappurisena asappurisatarañca. Sappurisañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi sappurisena sappurisatarañca. Taṁ suṇātha.
“Bhikkhus, I will teach you a bad person and a worse person, a good person and a better person. Listen …
कतमो च, भिक्खवे, असप्पुरिसो? इध, भिक्खवे, एकच्चो मिच्छादिट्ठिको होति …पे… मिच्छासमाधि—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, असप्पुरिसो।
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, asappuriso? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco micchādiṭṭhiko hoti …pe… micchāsamādhi—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, asappuriso.
And what is a bad person? It’s someone who has wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, and wrong immersion. This is called a bad person.
कतमो च, भिक्खवे, असप्पुरिसेन असप्पुरिसतरो? इध, भिक्खवे, एकच्चो मिच्छादिट्ठिको होति …पे… मिच्छासमाधि, मिच्छाञाणी, मिच्छाविमुत्ति—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, असप्पुरिसेन असप्पुरिसतरो।

And what is a worse person? It’s someone who has wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong immersion, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom. This is called a worse person.
कतमो च, भिक्खवे, सप्पुरिसो? इध, भिक्खवे, एकच्चो सम्मादिट्ठिको होति …पे… सम्मासमाधि—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, सप्पुरिसो।
