    “यं, भिक्खवे, न तुम्हाकं तं पजहथ। तं वो पहीनं हिताय सुखाय भविस्सति। किञ्च, भिक्खवे, न तुम्हाकं?

    “Yaṁ, bhikkhave, na tumhākaṁ taṁ pajahatha. Taṁ vo pahīnaṁ hitāya sukhāya bhavissati. Kiñca, bhikkhave, na tumhākaṁ?

    “Bhikkhus, give up what’s not yours. Giving it up will be for your welfare and happiness. And what isn’t yours?

    चक्खु, भिक्खवे, न तुम्हाकं। तं पजहथ। तं वो पहीनं हिताय सुखाय भविस्सति। रूपा न तुम्हाकं। ते पजहथ। ते वो पहीना हिताय सुखाय भविस्सन्ति। चक्खुविञ्ञाणं न तुम्हाकं। तं पजहथ। तं वो पहीनं हिताय सुखाय भविस्सति। चक्खुसम्फस्सो न तुम्हाकं। तं पजहथ। सो वो पहीनो हिताय सुखाय भविस्सति …पे…

    Cakkhu, bhikkhave, na tumhākaṁ. Taṁ pajahatha. Taṁ vo pahīnaṁ hitāya sukhāya bhavissati. Rūpā na tumhākaṁ. Te pajahatha. Te vo pahīnā hitāya sukhāya bhavissanti. Cakkhuviññāṇaṁ na tumhākaṁ.     यम्पिदं मनोसम्फस्सपच्चया उप्पज्जति वेदयितं सुखं वा दुक्खं वा अदुक्खमसुखं वा तम्पि न तुम्हाकं। तं पजहथ। तं वो पहीनं हिताय सुखाय भविस्सति।

    yampidaṁ manosamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaṁ sukhaṁ vā dukkhaṁ vā adukkhamasukhaṁ vā tampi na tumhākaṁ. Taṁ pajahatha. Taṁ vo pahīnaṁ hitāya sukhāya bhavissati.

    The pleasant, painful, or neutral feeling that arises conditioned by mind contact isn’t yours: give it up. Giving it up will be for your welfare and happiness.

    यम्पि, भिक्खवे, न तुम्हाकं, तं पजहथ। तं वो पहीनं हिताय सुखाय भविस्सती”ति।

    Yampi, bhikkhave, na tumhākaṁ, taṁ pajahatha. Taṁ vo pahīnaṁ hitāya sukhāya bhavissatī”ti.

    Give up what’s not yours. Giving it up will be for your welfare and happiness.”
