    सावत्थिनिदानं।

    Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

    At Sāvatthī.

    अथ खो अञ्ञतरो भिक्खु येन भगवा …पे… एकमन्तं निसिन्नो खो सो भिक्खु भगवन्तं एतदवोच: “को नु खो, भन्ते, हेतु, को पच्चयो, येन म्ऽइधेकच्चे जलाबुजा नागा उपोसथं उपवसन्ति वोस्सट्ठकाया च भवन्ती”ति?

    Atha kho aññataro bhikkhu yena bhagavā …pe… ekamantaṁ nisinno kho so bhikkhu bhagavantaṁ etadavoca: “ko nu kho, bhante, hetu, ko paccayo, yena m’idhekacce jalābujā nāgā uposathaṁ upavasanti vossaṭṭhakāyā ca bhavantī”ti?

    Then a bhikkhu went up to the Buddha … and asked him, “Sir, what is the cause, what is the reason why some womb-born dragons keep the Uposatha day, having transformed their bodies?”

    (सब्बं वित्थारेतब्बं।)

    (Sabbaṁ vitthāretabbaṁ.)

    “अयं खो, भिक्खु, हेतु, अयं पच्चयो, येन म्ऽइधेकच्चे जलाबुजा नागा उपोसथं उपवसन्ति वोस्सट्ठकाया च भवन्ती”ति।

    “Ayaṁ kho, bhikkhu, hetu, ayaṁ paccayo, yena m’idhekacce jalābujā nāgā uposathaṁ upavasanti vossaṭṭhakāyā ca bhavantī”ti.

    चतुत्थं।
